Green Mountain Solar was proud to unveil a new solar array installed on the Carpenter-Carse library.
The library’s new array is made up of 88 424-watt QCELLS panels. The array produces 37.4 kWh of clean, renewable energy and the RECs have been transferred to the utility (like most net metered projects in Vermont) to help make the state’s grid greener.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was fittingly held on Earth Day. Well-attended, the ribbon-cutting attracted the library's board members and a few community members. Local news station, NBC5 covered the event. Watch it here, including comments from Paul Lamberson, Trustee at Carpenter-Carse Library on how excited they are to have solar panels on their building.
